The beginning of Autumn 2026 has been mild and dry, but following a cold and wet Easter holiday, Mushroom season has arrived suddenly in the southern states of Australia. Many keen foragers are reporting finds of ‘x, y, or z’ species - followed by questions of where to find them! This, of course, includes the caramel-capped, gold-topped, white-stemmed, blue-bruising “magic” varieties such as Psilocybe subaeruginosa.
