Trip Sitting and Psychedelic Harm Reduction: The PRISM DanceWize partnership

Australia is on the psychedelic frontline. We were the first country in the world to reschedule psychedelic medicines, we are the home of the classic psychedelic trees, the Acacia, have recently discovered Australian fungi are the great grandfather of magic mushrooms and have our own collection of psychedelic people, pioneers, innovators and researchers.

Australia is also a core contributor to the advancement of psychedelic care. Contrary to popular belief, psychedelic care is far different to the increasingly popular treatment, psychedelic therapy. EGA sister organisation, PRISM and DanceWize are at the cutting edge of trip sitting, blending the skills and knowledge of psychedelic clinicians and medical researchers with underground and peer knowledges of people who use psychedelics.

In our latest video on EntheoTV, recorded live at our Garden States 2022 Conference, psychedelic expert and influential harm reduction advocate Steph Tzanetis, explains the PRISM and DanceWize tripsitting partnership. This collaborative project in psychedelic care is paving the way for advancing psychedelic benefits and reducing the harms for festival goers and everyday people using psychedelics outside of a formal, therapeutic setting.

If you’re looking to enhance your skills and knowledge of trip sitting, make sure to watch this additional video from Steph Tzanetis, Dr Liam Engel and Dr Stephen Bright. Drawing on anecdotal evidence from psychedelic communities, these three experts discuss the concepts of psychedelic care and best practice.

Entheogenesis Australis

Entheogenesis Australis (EGA) is a charity using education to help grow the Australian ethnobotanical community and their gardens. We encourage knowledge-sharing on botanical research, conservation, medicinal plants, arts, and culture.
