Remember Roland Griffiths

Psilocybin pioneer Roland Griffiths has passed. A key player in the psychedelic renaissance alongside the Johns Hopkins University team, Roland was best known for clinical work emphasising the potential contributions psilocybin stood to make to medicine, in particular publications in the journalPsychopharmacology, including;

  • Psilocybin can occasion mystical-type experiences having substantial and sustained personal meaning and spiritual significance;

  • Psilocybin produces substantial and sustained decreases in depression and anxiety in patients with life-threatening cancer: A randomized double-blind trial, published in Psychopharmacology, and;

  • Human hallucinogen research: guidelines for safety

Roland also did important work with  salvinorin A, DXM, and ketamine. Thank you for Roland for your important work, from which our whole society continues to experience the benefits.
