Psychedelics: Ritual, Research and Regulation

Embark on an illuminating journey into the multifaceted realm of psychedelics with our panel discussion on "Psychedelics: Ritual, Research, and Regulation." Delving into the rich tapestry of human history and spirituality, we explore the ritualistic use of psychedelics in ancient cultures and indigenous traditions, shedding light on their profound significance in shaping cultural narratives and spiritual practices.

As we navigate the contemporary landscape, our conversation transitions seamlessly into the realm of scientific research and therapeutic applications. From groundbreaking clinical trials exploring the potential of psychedelics in treating mental health conditions to neuroimaging studies unravelling their effects on the brain, we uncover the transformative potential of these substances in modern medicine and psychology.

However, our exploration wouldn't be complete without addressing the pressing regulatory challenges that accompany the resurgence of interest in psychedelics. With the recent legalisation of clinical treatments in Australia and evolving regulatory frameworks worldwide, we critically examine the ethical considerations, accessibility issues, and societal implications surrounding psychedelic use.

The panel was part of the Esoteric Festival program and hoasted our esteemed panel guests bringing a wealth of expertise and passion to the discussion:
