Enpsychedelia Live @ EGA - Activating Drug Policy and Law Reform

Panelists: Rick Doblin, Fiona Measham, Nick Kent, Monica Barratt, Erik van Keulen

With blanket bans on psychoactives increasing, cognitive liberty is in chains. Where does reform for laws covering psychedelics fit within drug law reform? In an environment where evidence is not the drive for policy how do we keep policy makers accountable? What have we learned recent work and development? How can you help with the next steps? This interactive session will be broadcast live on 3CR.  A number of individuals who have been involved with drug law and policy activism will join a panel to discuss strategies for reform. The session will be interactive, with audience participation encouraged. The panel will bring along some recent examples of activism and workshop these with the audience, drawing out successful strategies, unsuccessful strategies and discussing potential future campaigns.

Enpsychedelia is a weekly radio show and podcast on Melbourne's 3CR. Enpsychedelia is produced by Nick Wallis and features regular co-host Ash Blackwell presenting on topics at the intersection of drug use and society, such as scientific research, legal issues, social and cultural topics, medical uses, harm reduction, festival culture, policy and more. A number of Australia's leading researchers and academics regularly join the show, as well as guests from organisations like Students for Sensible Drug Policy Australia (SSDP), Yarra Drug and Health Forum, DanceWize, EGA, Psychedelic Research In Science and Medicine (PRISM), the Australian Psychedelic Society and UnHarm. People from the community also regularly join the show to add their voice and international experts are featured on shows throughout the year.  Enpsychedelia is a show for re-thinking the psychoactive paradigm and helping to morph the common narratives around drugs for the better.
