Alternative accommodation options and Car Parking for those staying off-site
EGA managed accommodation is limited and will sell out. We appreciate some people will choose to stay in other accommodation available in the local area. There are a number of alternative options available in and around Eildon for those still seeking accommodation. Eildon and outlying districts are a tourist precinct so accommodation options are easy to come by. For those seeking alternative accommodation options include Eildon Lake Motel, Eildon Parkview Motor Inn and The Golden Trout Hotel Motel which are all located conveniently in the town of Eildon. Another good resource is Lake Eildon Holiday Rentals. Other option near to Eildon are: Rubicon Hotel Motel, Snobs Creek Eco Retreat, and Goulburn Valley Fly Fishing Centre.
For those staying at alternative accommodation, EGA will provide three designated car-parking areas where you can leave your vehicle, and be collected by the EGA shuttle bus to travel to and from the main conference site. There is no private vehicle access to, or parking available for attendees at the Holmesglen at Eildon main conference site unless you have already pre-booked your accommodation there.
The three locations the EGA shuttle buses will be stopping at over the event operation hours are:
- 1. Eildon township, on the main street near the town centre;
- 2. The entrance to the EGA Campground (Eildon Pondage Campsite);
- 3. Goulburn Valley Highway parking bay (approximately half way between Eildon township and conference site, approximately 5 km each way, address to be added soon).
Anyone staying in alternative accommodation can meet the shuttle buses (and park their vehicle) at any of the above three locations to be transported to the conference site. A map detailing the shuttle bus stops can be found above!
