Eugene E-NRG aka DJ Krusty has operated in the Melbourne underground artist culture for the past 20 years. During that time he has explored and experimented with a wide variety of artistic forms, often under the moniker of Space Between the Gaps, alongside his collaborator and wife Marianella Kundalini. Art projects include: Leather Butoh an experimental performance art group creating ritual theatre on stage, street, video, gallery and culminating with Tek>Know<Butoh a 20 min AFC funded film. In the independent music world, as the creative producer and director of both Earthcore & Rainbow Serpent, which are outdoor alternative lifestyle electronic dance music festivals - during their developmental, experimental and formative years. As DJ Krusty he has performed at festivals all over Australia and has travelled to Europe, the Middle East, Asia and America as well as being a Melbourne trance, ethno and chill dub regular since the early 90’s. He has composed and released psychedelic techno music under a number of project which include House of Pagan Christians, Organic Madjik, as well as DJ Krusty remixes on CD & vinyl. During this time he also helped create the Green Ant music label, which released Australian psychedelic electronic CD music for over 10 years. Having been a professional writer and photographer in the capacity public relations in his early 20’s, Eugene has now gone back to being an independent student, studying the art of screen writing and visual storytelling, as the bases for developing a future sustainable career as a film-maker. Having completed a number of short films - Bastard, The Otherside, as well as some documentary shorts and corporate videos, he has a number of film projects in various stages of development.
